This is the most affordable option and is the closest accommodation to the conference venue. However, please be aware that this is very basic accommodation: it is a converted residence hall with simple rooms. Some rooms have shared bathrooms; others have a private half-bath (sink and toilet) with shared showers. There is a common kitchen for self-catering, free parking, and free wifi. We would only recommend this for participants on a tight budget who prioritize proximity to the venue and low cost over comfort.
Other hotels and short-term rentals
There are several additional hotels in downtown London (4-5 km from campus) that can be found through any major booking platform. These do not have conference rates and are further from campus, but may suit participants who prefer a downtown setting with more dining and entertainment options nearby. London also has a wide selection of short-term rentals available through platforms such as Airbnb, which can be a good alternative for those looking for more space, kitchen facilities, shared accommodation to reduce costs, or those traveling with family. Your complimentary bus pass or an Uber ride (~$10-15 CAD) will get you to campus from anywhere in London. We recommend searching for listings near Western University or along Richmond Street.
